Our Chisha, one of the newest executives of the JPA Legal Team in Zambia, was honored to be invited by the University of Lusaka for the launch of the first-ever Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Association at a Zambian university. As a panelist,
Chisha discussed the significance of various ADR methods such as arbitration, mediation, and adjudication.
Highlighting the interdisciplinary nature of ADR, Chisha emphasized that ADR is not solely for lawyers and encouraged professionals from diverse fields to engage in ADR training.
This specialization is crucial as parties prefer experts from their respective industries to resolve disputes. Chisha also called on universities and higher education institutions to incorporate ADR programs beyond just the law schools, to promote widespread expertise in dispute resolution.
